Joint Annual Meeting of GAMM Activity Groups 'Phase Field Modeling' & 'Interfacial and Multiphase Flow'
HU (Hegelplatz)
The Joint Annual Meeting of the GAMM Activity Groups “Phase Field Modeling” and “Interfacial and Multiphase Flow” in Berlin from March 1 to March 3, 2027 brings together researchers working on the mathematical modelling, analysis, simulation, and application of systems involving interfaces, phase transitions, and multiphase phenomena.

The meeting aims to foster exchange between the two closely connected communities and to provide a forum for discussing recent developments, open problems, and emerging research directions. Topics include, but are not limited to, phase-field and diffuse-interface models, sharp-interface limits, interfacial dynamics, multiphase and free-boundary flows, thermodynamically consistent modelling, numerical methods, and applications across the natural sciences and engineering.
A particular emphasis is placed on the interplay between mathematical analysis, numerical methods, modelling, and questions arising from physics and engineering. By bringing together different perspectives on common interfacial and multiphase problems, the meeting aims to stimulate discussion across disciplinary boundaries and encourage new collaborations.
Researchers at all career stages are warmly invited to participate, present their work, and contribute to the discussion.
